The Crests of Kennisis is a moderately challenging snowshoe hike with lots of hilly terrain. This is a point to point hike, starting at the historic log chute and finishing up at Little Hawk Lake. There may be icy sections and poles are recommended. Plan for 2-2.5 hours. Bring some water and a snack. Hike leaders will organize car pooling. Friendly dogs are welcome!

DIRECTIONS: From Haliburton take Hwy 118 West to Carnarvon (approximately 25 km). Turn right onto Hwy 35 heading north. Travel for approximately 11km and turn right onto Little Hawk Lake Rd (County Rd 13). Travel for 3km to Big Hawk Lake Rd and turn left. Travel another 3 km to #1584. The distance from Haliburton is approximately 42km. From Minden take Hwy 35 North for approximately 25 km. Turn right onto Little Hawk Lake Rd (County Rd 13).
