Queen Elizabeth Wildlands is an epic 33,000 hectare playground and the Ganaraska Hiking Trail, Wilderness Section provides over 50km of trail to explore . Our baby step adventure is intended to inspire you to explore the park in 2025. This hike includes a short walk along road, a forest trail, a couple of short step climbs, skirting a beaver meadow and a careful crossing at Fairy Falls. You need to be fit and do not need to be an experienced hiker to join.
- Weather and snow accumulation will impact choice of footwear. Most of the trail has light winter use and deep snow is likely. Be prepared with snowshoes and/or icers, poles (I’ll bring extras) and dress in layers.
- Don’t forget to bring water and a snack.
